Hong Kong Invention Association Ltd., former name Hong Kong Inventors Association
Ltd., was registered as a non-profit social service society in 1996 with the
encouragement of Mr Farag Moussa, Chairman of the International Federation of
Invention Association, Switzerland (IFIA for short).
Our Missions :
- to promote and encourage inventions;
- to protect the rights of inventors;
- to promote cooperation between inventors and enterprises;
- to convert inventions to commercial applications; and
- to develop technologies to foster prosperity.
Our services :
- to encourage our members or non-members to develop new and appropriate
inventions for the markets. - to organise and coordinate our members to meet various enterprises, assist
our members to keep pace with the needs of industrial and commercial development. - to organise local and international seminars and exhibitions on inventions,
designs and patents. - to provide a data resource on inventions and patents for our members.
- to give assistance and consultation to our members on their application
of patents. - to publish invention / patent books or magazines to introduce updated inventions
and technologies all over the world so as to arouse public awareness on
invention. - to encourage our members to participate international invention activities.
- to submit proposals to Government on all matters related to inventions
and patents. - to set up funding to finance the activities of the Association such as
invention competitions. - to organise social activities and recreation for our members.
- to invite international experts for advice on promoting the economic development
of our society.
香港發明協會 (Hong Kong Invention Association Ltd.) 前名叫香港發明家協會有限公司 (Hong Kong Inventors
Association Ltd.) 是1996年由當年瑞士國際發明家協會聯盟組織 (International Federation of Inventors
Associations，簡稱 IFIA) 會長 Mr. Farag Moussa 鼓勵成立為一個非牟利的服務團體。
本會宗旨：
- 提倡發明，鼓勵發明；
- 保護發明家權益；
- 協助發明家與工商界合作；
- 使發明商品化；
- 促進科技工業發展，社會經濟繁榮。
會務運作目標：
- 鼓勵會員 / 非會員運用智慧，發明適合市場需要的新產品內外銷，為香港創造財富，增加社會經濟效益。
- 與工商企業各界溝通聯絡，舉辦研討會，使科技發明能配合工商業發展需要。
- 與本港及海外有共同目標的專業團體合作交流，舉辦研討會和展覽會，為雙方會員提供互惠利益。
- 為會員設立一個發明和專利的資料圖書館及電腦聯網，方便會員進行參考研究及檢索工作。
- 指導會員辦理專利權申請，協助會員把專利品商業化。
- 出版發明 / 專利書刊，介紹最新發明品及技術資料，如《發明與創新》雜誌，引導社會重視發明。
- 鼓勵會員參加國際性的發明活動，以收知己知彼效益。
- 向政府建議有關提倡發明及鼓勵發明的重要性，提供經費支援發展。
- 號召社會熱心人士 / 團體捐助獎勵基金，每年舉辦發明創作比賽，獎勵優秀發明家及資助他們參加國際發明展。
- 定期舉辦康樂活動，促進會員友誼，增進研討機會。
- 邀請中國高層領導及國際專家蒞港為工商界提供振興經濟良策，不定期舉辦《發明創新振興香港》論壇。
