INVENTION IS BOUNDLESS,
IT BRINGS BOTH PROSPERITY & STRENGTH
Invention is the impetus for man to strive for improvement, develop technology and economy. It is a general truth that countries who possess the most inventive technologies are also the ones who own the highest comprehensive power. Encouraging public innovation, stimulating technological development and creating high value-added products, therefore, are the only way leading to Prosperity and Strength.
Invention and Innovation originated from intelligence, the cumulative wealth bestowed from our ancestors. If every human being contributes his / her portion to the total intelligence, the combined wealth will be an infinite treasure. Should there be one inventor cultivated from a group of 10,000 people every year, Hong Kong will add 700+ inventors to the team while China will add some 13,000 annually. If all the inventors can continuously devote themselves to new inventions, there will be huge economics and environmental improvements regularly for the world.
However, invention is difficult to score quick results in actual life, it’s a long-term challenge. Hong Kong is usually being recognized as an “immediate profit / result oriented society”, invention and innovation are normally ignored. With our society stepping into a new era of “information- explosion”, this attitude is now changed. Our economic as well as industrial competitiveness is in general depended on how inventive and innovative we are in comparing with others. Invention is boundless, it brings both prosperity and wealth; but we need to strive in order to achieve.

富強之道在其中
發明是人類改善生活，發展科技及經濟的原動力，綜觀現代國際間形勢證明，誰擁有發達先進的發明科技實力，誰就擁有雄厚的經濟實力和國力，所以提倡發明發揮群眾智慧，促進科技發展，創造高增值商品，以增加經濟收益，是國家社會發達之道。
發明創新須用腦力發揮智慧，所以智慧是人類最大的財富，如果人人能為國家社會貢獻一些智慧，這種財富寶庫是無限大的，那麼，這個社會 / 國家一定會富強，例如我們香港現有七佰多萬人，如果每年能培養萬分之一位發明家，香港就每年增加七佰位發明家， (中國現約有十三億人口，如每年能培養萬分之一位發明家，中國就每年增加一萬三千位發明家) ，不斷發明創新，不斷生產高增值的貨物收益，試想數年後，整個社會國家的經濟環境是否將大大改觀？
發明是一項長期性的工作事業，收成不易。香港是一個急功近利的社會，所以發明向來不受歡迎與重視；這種偏差現象，將會隨時代潮流轉變而改觀，因為我們現已進入資訊發達和知識經濟一體化時代，今後工商企業的競爭就要靠發明創新的優勢來取勝。發明空間無止境，富強之道在其中，望大家努力爭取。
