The Leader of the Year 2004 ( LOTY 2004 ) Awards Presentation Ceremony organized by Sing Tao Newspaper Group was held on February 01 at Grant Hyatt Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Invention Association (HKIA) won the award in the Education/Research category. HKIA is chaired by Mr. Cheung King Fung, who has been promoting the city’s inventiveness internationally and has led its members to achieve many awards at international inventors’ exhibitions.

* Youth Outreach led by Mr. Peter Newbery

* Hong Kong Invention Association, chaired by the youthful 88-year-old Mr. Cheung King Fung
Sports/Culture/Performing Arts category :
* Mr. Trey Lee Chui Yee

2004年傑出領袖選舉
由星島報業集團舉辦的「傑出領袖選舉」頒獎典禮已於2月1日假君悅酒店舉行。香港發明協會獲選為「教育／科研」組別的得獎者，會長張景豐先生雖已年屆八十八，仍身體力行積極推動發明創新工作，在他領導下，協會在多個海內外展會中屢獲殊榮。
